The U.S. special representative for Iran, Brian Hook, opined that "Iran did nothing to stop the attacks on our diplomatic facilities in Iraq. Qasem Soleimani has been organising and training and equipping these Shiite militias in Iraq for over a decade, and this is why we don't make a distinction between Iran and its proxies".
