Defence Minister Benny Gantz remarked that “Iran is continuing its uranium enrichment… and they are close to 90 per cent enrichment, once they decide to reach it. I understand the need for an agreement, but if an agreement [is not] reached, we must activate Plan B immediately”. He further asserted that intelligence cooperation would “make up for the lack of inspection in a possible agreement, since inspection should be ‘anytime, anywhere’”, adding: “I can also see the possibility for future cooperation in air defence”. Gantz further maintained that Israel would “have to increase offensive capabilities, intercept regional activities carried out by Iran in other countries, increase our defensive capacities and communicate with the Iranian society held hostage by the regime in the long run”.
