Foreign Minister Amirabdollahian, during a visit to Beirut, met with his Lebanese counterpart and reiterated “Iran’s support for the political process and restoration of stability in Lebanon and non-interference in the country’s internal affairs”. He further expressed “Iran’s readiness to help alleviate the sufferings of the Lebanese people pertaining to the electricity and energy crisis… help[ing] repair the power plants and build new ones in Lebanon”. He also met with other senior Lebanese officials and Hizbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.
