Following the killing by the U.S. of Iran’s IRGC Qods Force commander, Qassem Soleimani, Hizbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah asserted that “the minimal retaliation for the assassination of General Soleimani… is to expel foreign forces from Iraq and liberate it from U.S. troops”. “Iran can retaliate as it pleases, but this doesn’t exempt the Axis of Resistance from retaliation on its behalf”, Nasrallah added, stressing that “fair punishment means that U.S. forces, bases and warships must pay the price… The martyrs who blew themselves up and forced the U.S. troops out of the region in the past, are now many more”. “When the U.S. officers who came to the region vertically will return horizontally… Trump and his administration will realise that they lost the region and lost the elections. Those idiots don’t know what [they] did”.
