Hizbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah indicated that “Hizbollah has raised its military alert” in light of the start of a month-long Israeli drill. He also warned that “if Israel prevents Lebanon from investing its offshore gas resources, Hizbollah will prevent the Zionists from carrying out similar projects”, adding: “Lebanon’s socioeconomic crisis is severe to the extent that the only way to cope with it is extracting the offshore gas… Hizbollah protects Lebanon’s offshore resources from Israeli infringement”.
