Iran’s president, Hassan Rouhani, spoke with his Syrian counterpart, Bashar Assad, by telephone. Rouhani stated that “Iran is ready to actively participate in the reconstruction process of Syria”, adding that “the strategic relations between Iran and Syria will continue”.
