The chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, Mark Milley, met with his Saudi counterpart in Riyadh to discuss “the current security environment throughout the Middle East”. “The U.S. and Saudi Arabia share a long-standing partnership and are committed to peace and security in the Middle East region”, a U.S. readout noted.
