The Saudi cabinet, chaired by King Salman, "expressed the Kingdom's welcome and support for the move taken by the U.S. to coerce the Iranian regime to halt its destabilising policies, in support and sponsorship of terrorism around the world". Foreign Minister Ibrahim Al-Assaf also lauded the end of U.S. sanctions waivers.
