Iran's foreign ministry asserted that "blasting, killing and taking revenge from the innocent people and attacking civilian targets.... to compensate for Saudi Arabia and its allies' prolonged failures in Yemen is nothing but a war crime, and the silence of the international community has worsened the situation of civilians in war-torn Yemen".
