President Raisi told the Maduro government’s foreign minister that “Latin American countries, especially Venezuela, are amongst the economic diplomacy priorities of the Islamic Republic”. In separate meetings, Iranian Foreign Minister Amir Abdollahian announced that the two sides had “agreed to draw a roadmap for 20 years of [bilateral] cooperation”, while Iran’s oil minister underlined “expanding and promoting cooperation in the energy field”.
