The U.S. State Department notified Congress that it had approved “a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of Multifunctional Information Distribution System-Low Volume Terminals (MIDS-LVT) and related equipment for an estimated cost of $23.7 million”. It also backed a sale to the UAE “of Terminal High Altitude Areas Defense (THAAD) System Missiles, THAAD Fire Control and Communications Stations and related equipment for an estimated cost of $2.245 billion”.
