National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan met Israel’s military chief of staff, Aviv Kohavi, and the two conferred on “the challenges to security and stability in the Middle East, including the threat posed by Iran’s malign activities in the region”; Sullivan also underscored “the President’s commitment to ensuring that Iran never gets a nuclear weapon”. According to a U.S. readout, “the officials agreed on the importance of continuing and expanding bilateral consultations on the array of strategic challenges facing the region”.
