The U.S. Treasury Department designated six entities based in Iran, UAE and China for their support to a previously-sanctioned petrochemical company and its “continued involvement in the sale of Iranian petrochemical products”. The State Department additionally sanctioned three individuals and five entities “for knowingly engaging in a significant transaction for the purchase, acquisition, sale, transport or marketing of petroleum or petroleum products from Iran”.
