The U.S. Special Representative for Iran, Brian Hook, predicted that “at some point the [Iranian] regime as a matter of pragmatism is going to have to find a way back to the negotiating table. We have had the door for diplomacy open wide. I’ve been able to successfully negotiate two agreements with the Iranian regime on consular matters. Perhaps that will lead to broader agreements and so we’re going to continue what we’re doing”. “We’re on no hurry. We know that we have built a very strong hand over the last three years”, he added.
