Hizbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah assessed that “we are so close to liberate al-Quds [ie, Jerusalem] thanks to faith, steadfastness, patience and sincerity of Axis of Resistance’s powers…We, Hizbollah, pledge to stand by the oppressed people of Palestine”. In related remarks two days later, Nasrallah acknowledged that “liberation cannot be achieved in one, two or three years. It could take generations”. He also contended that “any talk of an Israeli-U.S. direct war is far away, their priority is to compose sanctions… we are heading towards a new international and regional situation where new threats might appear”.
