As the Associate Director for Online Communications and Publishing, she is responsible for planning, developing and implementing dynamic, interactive and meaningful online media content strategies for daily community engagement as well as campaigns specifically related to Crisis Group's work plan priorities. She leads a creative team responsible for video, photography, social media, graphic design and website management. Professional Experience Ásdís has previously worked as a specialist for the Icelandic National Committee of UN Women, communications officer for the EFTA Surveillance Authority and as personal assistant to a presidential candidate in Iceland. She began her career in media, both television and radio. Ásdís holds an MA in International Relations from New York University and a BA in Philosophy from the University of Iceland.
