Based in Dakar, Crisis Group's West Africa office, Cynthia conducts fieldwork in Burkina Faso and Côte d'Ivoire and writes reports, briefings and other materials analysing the political and social situation and making recommendations to prevent and resolve crises. Cynthia first joined Crisis Group in September 2011 as the assistant editor based in Brussels, and permanently relocated to the Dakar office in October 2013.
