Since February 2007 Irene is Crisis Group’s Africa Program Operations Manager. In this capacity, Irene provides management support to the Africa Program which includes guidance and supervision for the regional offices; overseeing audit, tax and immigration compliance for the Nairobi office; dealing with HR matters in particular payroll, assisting in the recruitment process and management of internships; and liaising with HQ staff on security management. She first joined Crisis Group as Office Manager in September 2005.
