Ned Dalby Senior Research Analyst Brussels Crisis Group Role Ned rejoined Crisis Group in January 2016 as Senior Research Analyst. In this role he provides research and analytical support for senior staff and field-based analysts on conflicts across Africa and the Middle East, and produces the monthly CrisisWatch conflict tracker. Professional Background Previously at Crisis Group, Ned was a Central Africa Analyst, conducting field research and writing reports mainly on the Central African Republic and the Lord’s Resistance Army. He has also worked for Conciliation Resources, a London-based peacebuilding organisation, producing policy-oriented reports and advising African civil society organisations. Ned has Master’s degrees in International Studies and Diplomacy from the School of Oriental and African Studies, and in International Cultural Policy from the University of Warwick. He gained a first class Bachelor’s degree in Classics from the University of Oxford.
