Planned Giving at Crisis Group

Over the past decade, the number of conflicts has grown by nearly 50 per cent. Seventy-nine million people have been displaced from their homes due to war or conflict, the highest number ever recorded. Saving lives threatened by conflict remains Crisis Group’s ultimate goal and since our founding 25 years ago, there has never been a greater need for our work.

When you make a Planned Gift to support the work of Crisis Group, you are helping to secure a more peaceful world for your children, and the generations that follow. However big or small, this could be one of the most significant gifts you ever make.

Your planned gift will continue your support of Crisis Group in preventing, mitigating or ending deadly conflict. Specifically, you will fund:

  • Our field analysis of actual and potential conflicts that produces practical and tangible policy advice;

  • Our high-level advocacy work with world leaders;

  • The dialogues we conduct with all sides of a conflict to forge a common ground for resolving disputes.

There is a range of ways you can make a planned gift or a blended approach of both planned and lifetime gifts. Many planned gifts carry tax benefits for the donor. To determine which gift vehicle is the best for you and your family, we recommend that you consult your estate planner or financial advisory. Crisis Group is unable to give you any legal advice, including tax advice, but we would be pleased to work with you and your advisers to discuss a planned gift that meets your charitable goals.

Leave a legacy of peace with a gift in your will

Crisis Group was founded in 1995 as the world reeled from humanitarian tragedies in Bosnia, Rwanda and Somalia. More than 25 years later, global conflict looks very different, but the need for our work to prevent and stop conflict remains critical. In a world facing unprecedented challenges to stability and peace, your legacy gift or other planned giving can help Crisis Group look ahead to the next 25 years, working toward a more peaceful, safer future for everyone. Could you consider giving a planned gift and making Crisis Group part of your legacy?

Philanthropists for Peace

By notifying Crisis Group of your planned gift, you allow us to recognise your generosity and plan for the future, secure in your support. You will also become part of our Philanthropists for Peace initiative, with an invitation to join our Planned Giving recognition society, the Society of 1,000 Cranes. If you let us know the value of your planned gift, it will also count toward our Peacebuilding Society recognising lifetime giving.
